The mods. And the answer, in general, is no. The most recent mod to be added to the roster was Yamahog. Before that, it had essentially been the same group of people since Oppo’s inception.

The Mods came into power when Kinja was released upon the land four or so years ago. Before that Oppo was managed by the Jalopnik staff. Most of The Mods are original from the formation, but Yamahog, Arch Duck, and Hammerthrow were added in since then.

I mean if Magica wasn’t brought back would it really be DuckTales? Though on the other hand they certainly seem to be in a rush to add the familiars from the old show. I mean we’ve already had Glomgold, the Beagle Boys, and Gyro Gearloose in the first three episodes, now we’ve got Magica popping up like the post-credit scene on a Marvel movie. Why ya gotta be in such a rush to pile on the baddies? (I know, Gyro wasn’t a baddie before, but he’s got that “mad scientist that’s one electric shock away from unleashing Godzilla” air to him this time around.)

Not sure about this new form they’ve given her either, the whole shadow on the wall thing (or more accurately, floor I suppose) instead of an actual solid physical entity. It’ll certainly make her a very difficult character than in the previous generation. I wonder if she’ll still be after Scrooge’s Number One dime? Also, since Magica is that shadow character now who can (apparently) only appear when summoned does it mean Lena will be the one doing the actual work? I see sad days ahead for Webby

I’ll tell you what I am excited for. Lin Manuel Miranda as Gizmoduck, and DARKWING DUCK IN THE DUCKTALES UNIVERSE. Hopefully that’s a sign that they’ll reboot that series as well. All in all it’s good so far. A lot more depth to the stories, and a lot less camp.

I dont believe Magica is only on as a shadow. I just think she’ll be that way until Lena reveals her true intentions.

As for Darkwing Duck: If disney does choose to revive him as a series, than it could be another step towards the salvation of their tv presence, I mean other than SVTFOE and Ducktales, we have this:
